Angkor Wat 3 day itinerary help

I’ll be traveling to Cambodia in December and am really excited to spend 3 full days in Angkor Wat. I’m a bit overwhelmed by how to plan out the itinerary. I’m speaking to a few tour guides (shout out Reddit for the Sovan recommendation) (other one is Virak). And they both have suggested a very different third day and I honestly don’t know which to go with:

Option One: Kulen Mountain, reclining Buddha, thousand lingas (Virak)

Option Two: Beng Mealea and Rolous temples including Lolei, Preah ko. Also Bakong temple (Sovan)

Both tours will include the full temples + grand circuit + Banteay Srei in the first two days

Any feedback about one vs the other would be sooo appreciated. Also if you feel strongly about either guide let me know. Thank you in advance 🙏🙏🙏

December trip planning help - HCMC 3 nights or HCMC 1 night & Con Dao 2 nights

I’m planning my first big trip to Vietnam and I made a mistake on the date of my flight home (it’s at 12:30am and mistakenly planned for that day), so I have to shave one night off the trip. Most of the trip is fully booked at this point except the last week. We’re doing a short diversion to Siam Reap to see Angkor Wat December 14-18. The original plan was to fly to HCMC on December 18 stay to the 20th then fly to Con Dao and stay at Six Senses December 21 & 22. Now that I have one less day I’m wondering if we should spend one night in HCMC and then head to Con Dao or spend the whole time in HCMC and skip Con Dao.

For reference it’s me and my best friend traveling together - I’m a 45 yo F and he’s a 32 yo M (gay bestie). We like a mixture of history, culture, and gorgeous scenery. I was mainly looking forward to HCMC for shopping (he’s a fashion designer) and the cafe culture. And to Con Dao for the beautiful beach and a quiet way to wind down the trip.
Before Siam Reap we are doing Hanoi, Ha Giang loop, Ninh Binh, Hue and Hoi An to give an idea of the vibe.

Any and all feedback appreciated thank you!!

Traveling in December, drop your google maps lists if you got em.

Hello! Love my reddit community. I'm planning a trip to Vietnam in December, north to south in 22 days with stops in Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An, Saigon and Con Dao. I've been lurking on r/hanoi and r/vietnam for tips and I'm overwhelmed. If you've visited recently or live(d) in any of these locations I'm asking kindly to drop any google maps lists you have (food, drinks, cafes, things to do, salons, facials, shopping, etc). I'm a big google maps lists person and I will treasure your list. In exchange I can send you lists for many European destinations if you're interested! I'll cross-post in r/vietnam but thank you in advance!
