Advice/info

Leasing a 2024 V1 with 18” wheels and tyres are included in the lease. As you can see from username, I’m in the UK….I now have 21k miles on the clock and only just had to have the rear tyres changed about a month ago; front are still not down to the wear bar yet. Original tyres are factory Contis - rear were replaced with Bridgestone Potenza by Quik Fit

Yesterday, we had the first really wet day in my part of the UK. Bridgestones are horrible. The car is frequently struggling with traction in a straight line, I nearly spun the car on a roundabout where the backend kicked out as I was joining the carriageway and was straightening the front wheels. I’d like to say I’m an experience driver that drives enthusiastically and safe but this was really unexpected for the car.

Horrid horrid horrid. The car was nothing like this on the Contis.

My lease is up in May next year. Money gap between V2 and VZ is not much for me. Currently undecided between getting a VZ but I feel like Cupra still don’t care about the rear passengers even after the facelift. I don’t like the new Formentor. Very plasticky inside and that weird bridge from the dash to the centre compartment is odd.

I’m toying with an Enyaq coupe VRS but it’s a bit more money. For the same “bit more money” again over the Enyaq, I could get an Ionic 5N.

My local Skoda dealer not interested in letting me test drive because I would not be leasing though them.

And government are fuckers for introducing charges down the line (like pay per mile and BIK increases) that mean what I would pay now might be a lot less than what I’m paying in year 3 of any lease.

What do I do?
