Hi, sorry in advance for this very awkward introduction... I'll just skip to a little bit about me:
I am afab, but identify as a gender outlaw, so any pronouns you choose to use for me are just fine.
I believe I'm asexual, but I've never been in a situation where I needed to find out. All I know is all that business sounds kinda... um... gross. I don't want to see your business, and I don't want to know.
My interests include writing, drawing, video games, and music, so, yeah, a little bit about each.
I love writing. Writing is my passion! I've written a lot, but currently I'm working on a book series. I've finished a second draft of my first book and I'm halfway-ish through the second book. It's a dark fantasy. It's about a guy who wakes up in a tower and learns the world he knew is secretly filled with monsters. He is forced to quickly learn how to navigate his new reality and figure out who he can trust. It's a new adult novel, so it deals with some heavier topics. There's a lot of focus on mental health issues in it. Sorry, I get really excited to talk about my writing. If you like reading and that little blurb sounded interesting to you, definitely hmu!
For drawing, well, I'm not the best, but not the worst. I usually enjoy drawing though and am trying to join artfight this year despite some art anxiety currently.
For video games, I'm big into collect-a-thon games. They're so addicting! I also really enjoy puzzle and adventure games. If you like gaming, too, then maybe we could game together sometime. That'd be so cool! I do have a few multiplayer games like Valheim, Borderlands 1-3, and Terraria. I suck equally at all of them. Okay, so maybe I'm the worst at Borderlands...
For music, I'm really into punk music! I also listen to a good bit of country and hip hop music. My favorite band is Set It Off. Pretty much all their songs are amazing, so I can't pick a favorite song, but Dancing with the Devil gets stuck in my head a lot. I also enjoy the artists/bands Fall Out Boy, Bohnes, and IDK HOW a lot. I'm currently wearing a Bohnes t-shirt for Send in the Machines. I've been wearing it for like, two days since depression and anxiety make functioning hard. I use the Finch app, though, so I do remember to shower usually... Yep, I made things awkward...
If you made it this far and you're still thinking "wow, this is someone I could vibe with", cool, man (all genders included, of course!), cool! Here's a little bit of what I'm looking for in a friend:
You are someone who knows how to hold a conversation. You maybe like some of the same things I do. Bonus points if you want to read my story, but definitely not required. I think that's it, other than being a decent human being.
So, yeah, hmu if you want to. If we don't click, nbd, just lmk that you're not really feeling the conversation. Or you can ghost, I suppose. I won't hold it against you, but letting me know is preferred so I don't sit by the phone waiting for my potential new friend to answer. If you do message, please introduce yourself. Tell me your preferred pronouns, and a little about yourself like I did here. I have severe anxiety, and though I'm working on it and my conversation skills, I'll need something to talk about with you.
