Proud of my PB in depth
Hit a new personal best today: 29.1 meters (95.5 ft). Really happy with the progress and getting closer to that 30m mark!

I have a 2021 RXP-X RS with only 64 hours on it. Most of its life has been very easy — I normally just cruise from my house to the local sandbar, which is less than half a mile away.
Last Sunday I finally took it on my first real long-distance ride: about 53 miles, and it completely changed what I want to use this ski for.
I rode alongside FishPros, Explorers and GTXs, and I really noticed the difference in stability, comfort, wind protection and storage. Now I want to start setting up my RXP-X specifically for longer open-water trips.
I’m not concerned about keeping it looking or feeling like a stock RXP-X. I already have the ski and I like it, so I’d rather modify it as much as reasonably possible to make it safer, more comfortable and more capable for long-distance riding.
Extra fuel is one of my priorities. I can install the LinQ fuel caddy, but then I lose the rear LinQ space for my cooler, so I’d like to find a setup that allows me to carry both.
I’m open to pretty much anything: rear extensions or platforms, additional LinQ mounting points, larger or more comfortable seating, wind protection, extra storage, fuel solutions, navigation/electronics, or anything that improves stability and comfort in open water.
Has anyone built an RXP-X specifically for touring or long-distance riding? I’d love to see your setups and hear what actually works.
My goal is basically to turn this thing into an RXP-X/Explorer hybrid.
I have been with it for 7 years….
Moving slow but steady the caudex and roots out.
What will be my next big move?
I’m planning on heavy trimming every long branch that just gives 1 flower in the end…
Not and expert but see very talented people here
Before and after pictures, any cuts on the coudex? And how…. Will be super appreciate
My problems started after a PETG blob of death that completely engulfed the hotend assembly.
Initially, I started getting intermittent heater errors. I replaced the complete hotend assembly with a brand-new one, and the heater errors disappeared. However, I now consistently get a Z-axis error.
During Auto Home, the print head moves upward until it reaches the top of the Z travel. The motors keep trying to move higher for a few seconds (you can hear them skipping), then the printer throws a Z-axis error and stops.
I can manually lower the toolhead without any issues, but every time I press Home it repeats the exact same behavior. The nozzle never reaches the print bed.
So far I’ve:
Had a PETG blob of death.
Replaced the entire hotend assembly.
Power-cycled the printer multiple times.
Manually lowered the toolhead.
Tried Auto Home repeatedly with the same result.
Has anyone experienced this after a blob of death? Could this be a damaged Z homing sensor, cable, toolhead board, or mainboard issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
