Boss is re-arranging work days and 'stealing' my public holiday
Hello!
I am currently working 60%, meaning every monday, and then either tuesday/thursday or wednesday/friday, every other week.
Last week my day off (thursday) was a public holiday, so in effect I 'lost' a day off, while the other shift had their thursday and friday off. That's life, whatever.
Next week monday will be a public holiday, and my shift is set to have tuesday/thursday off - meaning Im supposed to only have 2 working days (wednesday and friday). Now he wants everyone to switch it up and have everyone come in on tuesday. For the sake of the company and clients, it makes sense and I dont really mind switching. However this means I will end up working 3 days (a full week).
I have politely objected and offered the day off i lose, to be moved to another working day, or that a feriedag ive had earlier in the month to be counted as working day. We are still in dialogue but no surprise, he has a different view on it.
Am I in the wrong here? How should I present this in a fair and diplomatic way?
