Paint over or strip?

Looking to redo my scorpion with Rapco RAL Gray. I have a shitty gray on there now and wondering what would be the best move to get the cleanest application.

Strip it with citrsitrip (how will it strip on polymer?)
Spray over it (will the shitty base coat mess it up?)

Messing around with macro shapes and made something interesting. Where do you think these would work?

Hand drawn shapes freehand in photoshop, used M81 and classic digital patterns like LATPAT as inspo. I then digitized and textured with individual pixels to create texture / depth.

ID on this camo?

Looks like some Austrian stuff but I am intrigued, don’t think I’ve ever seen this pattern before.

From US Army so maybe OpFor stuff?
