just a little stumped on neck/garment construction…
so im flat crocheting a button up top using this lace pattern. i’ve only attached the sleeves so detaching is no biggie. the part i’m confused about is the collar/neck.
i’ve yet to seam the shoulder seam however i’m contemplating on redoing the back panel entirely and making it 5 flower motifs across (instead of 4 motifs) so it makes space for my neck. i’m just concerned it’ll be extremely baggy on the side.
alternatively i could extend the back panel by a couple of rows using a basic mesh stitch.
OR just leave it alone, sew the shoulder halfway-ish to make a neck opening
i just needed to consult with someone (ANYone) before i waste time frogging/redoing it. i’ve never make a button up before so any tip/pointers would be greatly appreciated!! 🫶🏼
