July 1st parking enforcement

📣 Attention downtown Hayward residents!
If you park on the street because your building doesn’t have parking — this affects you.
Parking enforcement is starting back up July 1st and the city still does not have a residential permit program in place. In fact, they’ve said it won’t be ready for another 6+ months. In the meantime, they’re telling residents to use downtown city lots that are dirty, unsafe, and unsupervised. That is not an acceptable alternative.
That means you could get ticketed with nowhere safe to park — and no remedy in sight.
