So Digger has Kubrick references out the wazoo. Cruise is in it. Opens with a man in the 2001 bedroom, continues with him boppin' a baseball bat down red stairs a la The Shining and into a meeting of Strangelovian significance and absurdity. Anyone see it?
I love watching a movie and suddenly getting the feeling that DL has been inspired by it and used it.
I reckon he saw Cheech and Chong's Next Movie. Have there been any times when you've been watching a movie, especially one not considered a classic and thought "Heyyyy"?
EDIT - You are nice!
It occured to me that the big four of IDM all take influence from Michael (and possibly Janet) Jackson. Autechre drums, Jenkinson bass, BoC chords, AFX well, Windowlicker. Not that weird, but not that obvious either. Interesting, huh?
