Tail of the Dragon and Blue Ridge Parkway

Took a trip from NY to tail of the dragon and then rode blue ridge parkway on the way home. Camped along the way. Amazing trip and got to really push my limits and learn a lot on this bike. It really is such a capable machine. My ass and back hurt a lot though

Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8

I just got this lens today and took a couple test shots. I find this lens to be very soft at f/2.8 and I’m not sure if I got a defective unit or if this is normal.

Picture 1:
70mm
f/2.8
1/1250s
ISO 125

Picture 2:
70mm
f/8
1/160s
ISO 125

If you zoom in to the center of both images, the f/2.8 is really soft to me. I know that f/8 will be sharper, but this difference seems like too much.

GL1500 Windscreen Vent?

Where in the world can I get one of these vents? I recently got a Goldwing and have been working to get all the maintenance done. I installed a VStream windscreen thinking I could get a vent, but I can’t find them anywhere online. Not one aftermarket option and no used ones. I bought a crappy one off eBay that said it fit 1500 and 1800 but it didn’t fit. Are parts bikes the only way?

Dunlop Roadsmart 4?

I just ordered these tires and will hopefully be installing them this weekend. Just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with them on our bikes and wanted to share their thoughts.

I was torn between them and the Road 6 that everyone raves about on this sub. Revzilla didn’t have the Road 6 rear in stock, so it made my decision easier lol

Getting Soaked on Wet Roads with a Tail Tidy

Has anyone found a good solution to stop getting absolutely drenched by the rear wheel spray on wet roads with a tail tidy?

Obvious solution is to get waterproof rain gear, but I’d rather not have to deal with that extra stuff when I’m going to work if I don’t have to. And would be nice to not have to spend hundreds of dollars on more gear.

Pic for attention and your spank bank ;)
