Mixed faith marriage: should I go back to church?

For those of you in mixed faith marriages or who have any insight for me:

My husband has told me that he will talk about any church issue with me every day and pretty much start his long-coming deconstruction IF we start go to church with him again every week (myself and our young kiddo). None of us have been in about 1.5 years bc I stopped going and he said he’d rather be with us on Sunday mornings (he’s been great about putting us first and has been very patient), but it’s been wearing on him to be away and he misses it.

My soul is screaming at me to stay away from the MFMC and I feel I can’t stomach suddenly going again every week. If you’re in a mixed faith marriage, do you ever go to support your spouse? Do I just need to set aside some pride here?

EXTRA VENT: a small part of me feels like it’s his responsibility to educate himself on the issues that made me leave. We desperately need that understanding between us. Why is that essential piece of us moving forward conditional on me sitting through church again? Shouldn’t it be a given that he does the research?

Any and all thoughts appreciated. Happy Sunday, heathens.

My mother in law gifted my toddler daughter “Jesus books” for Christmas, which I promptly put in the back of our closet after the holidays. But when she visits, she notices they aren’t on the shelves at our house. It’s awkward, but I feel very strongly about her not reading them to my daughter (although I haven’t said anything). I don’t believe in Jesus or Mormonism’s version of a creator god, so I’m not comfortable teaching those things to my very young kid. Baby girl smart as hell for her age, so I’m already considering these things.

For context my MIL pushes her beliefs, oversteps boundaries, and has extreme anxiety that her family isn’t as faithful as she is. She’s the last person I want talking to my kids about spirituality.

I’m trying to work out the best way to anticipate and approach this. My husband (pimo) thinks we should just let his MIL read them to avoid contention with her. Baby is still young, after all. BUT, it makes my stomach churn to think of any sort of indoctrination with my kids, even something as seemingly small as a reading book when she’s young. Because as she gets older, where do we draw the line with church books, movies, etc. when she’s with grandma? Do we hold fast now and establish the boundary to get ahead of the issue, or take a more laid back approach?

What do you guys think is an appropriate/respectful way to talk about this? Is a conversation even necessary or worth having? Please tell me if I need to chill out lol.

I logged on to the LDS tools app recently to remove my contact info. I learned that while you can remove your phone number and email, you cannot remove your address. You can only limit the visibility to stake and ward presidencies. Highly problematic for both me and my kid. People I don’t know can learn our names, genders, ages, and home address. I’m not ready to resign yet, but I want this info GONE from church records.

Anyways, I’m guessing the church has gotten complaints about this, because they provided their reasoning. At the top of your profile info screen is a little question mark that will take you to the “Visibility Settings Explanation” (see screenshot) with a goddamn scriptural reference. Apparently Moroni 6 explains why their hands are tied and implies they HAVE to share your address in order to “number, name, and nourish” you. A bullshit reason to share my address unless I fully resign. And terrifying for individuals who are at risk from abusive spouses, etc. who should not have access to that info.

TLDR; as long as you are a member, your address must remain visible to stake and ward presidencies, because god and Moroni said so.
