What’s the latest you’ve worked before your due date? [ab]

Hi all! 30 weeks here and I need some feedback on when to stop working. Off the top: I honestly feel fantastic, I’m not uncomfortable at all (so far).

I work for a farm and my job is mostly crop advising (driving to the fields, walking in and looking at problems, giving recommendations). I average 8-12K steps a day and if I do less than 5K I feel noticeably worse than if I’d had a full day at work.

My dr floated the idea that I should give my notice soon and my heart dropped. I’ve negotiated with him that I’m going to work until 3 weeks before I’m due (but I might try to stick around until 2 weeks prior). I have had no complications or anything, I really can work at my own pace in this job and if I need to dip at home through the day I certainly can. I think at this point my boss’ are worried I’ll have the baby in a field but I’m more worried I’ll be cooped up at home at 37 weeks and won’t deliver until 42 or something awful like that haha.

I also don’t want to miss out on the summer at the farm, I love my job and I love the people I work with.

I’m also really *really* anxious for the birthing part (I have a therapist for tokophobia), so leaving work an entire month early to be at home all day sounds like my own personal hell. (I know I’ll be in my own head about it)

So: advice, stories, feedback?? Thanks in advanced!!
