Help IDing pipes (Goat horn?)

Hey folks, I've got a set of pipes that my dad bought for me in the early 2000s around 2005ish I think.

I've recently started playing again after about 18years and am keen to find out a bit more about them if I can.

Does anyone have any idea who the maker might have been based on these photos?

I don't have the original chanter so no maker's mark. They were bought from the National Piping Centre in Glasgow. I've sent them the photos too in the hope they might be able to help but thought I may as well ask here too.

My dad says they are goat horn, I'm pretty sure they are imitation but he's convinced they are real horn.

Any help appreciated!

Stropping advice

Hey all, brand new to whittling and wondering if my strop looks right?

It's got green compound on it but it seems to be flaking off as I use it. Should it look like this or should I reapply more of the compound?

A bit lost and not sure if the strop is actually doing anything!
