Christopher Nolan shares new insights on The Odyssey during recent interview

David wasn't just a colleague—he was a mentor, a friend, and someone who helped shape the film community at IMAX.

Those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him every day—including the Film team, the Negative Cutting team, and, of course, myself—learned from his experience, relied on his guidance, and appreciated the passion he brought to his work. He had an incredible depth of knowledge, but what made David truly special was his willingness to share it. He always made time to teach, help, and support those around him.

His impact reached far beyond the projects he worked on. He helped build a team, a culture, and lasting friendships. The lessons he passed on and the example he set will continue to live on in all of us who had the honor of knowing and working with him.

David will be deeply missed, but he will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on through every one of us whose lives and careers he touched.
