Was using this thing for a month now. Was using a credit card. Checked my balance and the cap did not kick in. Racked up quite a bill, with very little help from Port Authority and MTA thus far - no form to fill out, no website to go to. Maybe a rare frequent AirTrain user can advise.
For now, anyone who trusts the fare cap - don’t. If you’re an employee, get the metrocard from Building 141. I am avoiding the thing for now in an attempt to save money now.
