Parking tix
I was at Watson lake and paid the lady at the entrance $5 to park. I put the pass on my dash. I had my stinky water shoes in the car so I had the back seat windows cracked. After running around in the park I came back to my car and there was a parking ticket. I opened the car door and my parking pass was wedged in the window, by the mirror. It was kinda windy out so it must have gotten blown around. I went and spoke to the lady I paid at the park entrance. She said, "This happens all the time, I never saw the parking enforcement enter the park, but they may have been in an unmarked vehicle." Unmarked vehicle? Really?
I went down to the court house and the receptionist said they cannot see the tix as it was just issued and to call back in a few days. I showed her the tix and my parking pass, explained the situation and now I have to drive back to prescott (i live in scottsdale) or do a phone interview with the judge. She also stated they still may not dismiss the ticket as my pass was not directly on the dash.
Anyone have any experience with this? I dont understand why they even have parking enforcement if an attendant is literally at the entrance taking your money, why do they even have enforcement? You have to pay to enter. And why is this happening all the time, like the park lady said? R they just issuing tix in the hope that someone won't fight it?
