Finally Seeing Weight Loss Progress After Many Failed Attempts!
Growing up I spent lots of time working outside, mostly farm work that naturally kept me in decent shape (especially with that good ole teenage boy metabolism). I always weighed 140 lb or so, regardless of what I did or ate. For context I am 5’8”. However, after college I started working as an engineer which tends to include just a teeny, tiny bit of desk time. Before I knew it, the 20s metabolism slowdown started and I weighed over 200 lb. After a few failed attempts at losing weight that ended before showing any real progress, I decided to really lock in.
I started diligently eating at a good calorie deficit, and today, after 6 weeks, I weighed in at 187 lb, a first in over 3 years. I’ve got a long way to go to my target of 150 lb, but the self esteem boost so far is amazing and I’m so proud of myself for actually seeing it through this far. Just needed to share! If you’re still reading, enjoy this emoji of a potato 🥔
Will a 275/75/R18 fit in the stock spare tire spot?
Edit: Truck is 2014 CM.
Edit again: Typo’d tire size: is actually 275/70/R18
Zerex Coolant Question
I’m planning to do a coolant drain and fill soon, and am a bit confused about non-Toyota coolants. I’ve seen other threads here and on forums say that the Zerex pink coolant is very close to the Toyota Pink SLLC. However, different stores show both HT-12 and G40 pink Zerex coolants, both of which list Euro vehicles, and say they are phosphate-free. My understanding, which may be wrong, is that the Toyota SLLC specifically IS phosphate based. Is there a different pink Zerex for Asian vehicles, or do they only offer red?
I’m likely going to just use Toyota, but was curious what the different Zerex ones are.
Scamp 19’ Custom B&W Companion Hitch
Finally completed (except for paint) my adaptation of a B&W Companion (fifth wheel insert for under bed Turnoverball system) hitch to tow a 19’ with my Tundra without modifying the coupler on the trailer. The ball is shifted aft of the axle by about 6” to account for the short 5.5’ truck bed.
It might be just *slightly* overbuilt, but I think it’s safe to say “that ain’t going anywhere”. I’m going to tweak a couple aspects of the design, but once that’s done I’m happy to share it with anyone that wants it. Total cost including the hitch base (used) was about $530. All in all it weighs in the neighborhood of 150 lb.
I know the 2015-2017 Tundra gauge cluster displays outside temperature in the bottom right all the time, but the 2014 does not. Is it possible to reflash the cluster to show temp this way?
