What do you use to secure your bike at remote sites (D-lock, security chain, disc lock, etc.)?
Hi,
I'm looking for recommendations on securing my 2026 DCT at remote sites (grocery store, pub, etc.). The bike doesn't have panniers or a top-case and the frunk is limited to 5 kg (11 lbs). If you use a chain, then how long is it, how thick is it, where do you loop it, and how do you secure it? If you use a D-lock, then which one and where do you put it?
My main issue is that a 1.5 m long,12 mm thick chain is too heavy for the frunk.
ABUS does have a 1.2 m long, 12 mm thick noose-chain that's secured with a device that might also be usable as a disc lock. The chain and lock weigh about 9.5 lbs. Have you used it?
