UC Accomodation Opinions - Ilam Student Accomodation

Hello! I'm starting my first year at UC in February. I've discussed accommodation with my parents, and we're leaning towards Ilam Accommodation primarily because of the self-catering option. I want to know what the experience is like living in Ilam Accommodation. As for myself, I am not that social and I need an environment where I could focus when studying, but I can adapt to my environment pretty quick if needed and do desire a healthy amount of socialising.

Thank you for reading this and I'd love to know your experiences with this particular accommodation!! :)

spotting and missed periods

Hello! I would just like to explain what I'm currently going through and would like to hear your take on it. I've been diagnosed with PCOS since 2024, and the most I'd experience for delay in my periods would be 5-7 days, and I'd miss a period here and there but it's mostly rare. For the month of July of this year, I didn't get my period and only by yesterday, I noticed spotting (like red blood droplets in my toilet bowl). This is my first time spotting and since yesterday, I've been experiencing very mild cramps. Is this a good sign?

things to bring for moving to chch

hey everyone!! I'm going to be joining UC at semester 2 under the conditions of arriving late to the campus! I'm just curious on what students who are not local to chch bring with them as they depart from their homes, aside from essentials like hygiene products of course :D Feel free to recommend as well, whether you're a chch local or a non local :)

Thank you!!
