I feel the love for CRT is getting completely out of hand.

I know CRT's are better in motion than any modern screen and I also agree that retro games can look beautiful on them. But I feel this CRT madness is starting to look like "CRT is superior in everything to modern displays" which is just not true at all.

Putting weight aside, the colors of modern games on CRTs look awful, bc CRTs are limited to rec. 709 and most importantly, time. All the new features of modern games like HDR (when well implemented) look amazing and beyond anything CRTs were capable of, idk why people who invested in CRTs are now trying to desperately push this narrative that they're the superior displays for everything when it's just not true.

Now this is strictly speaking about gaming bc movies always looked TERRIBLE on CRTs (unless you're using a vhs which they were terrible anyways)

With all the recent changes I think they should consider bringing back the Backwards Compatible program.

There are still many games from the original xbox and 360 missing and this was such a nice feature with the improved resolution/ framerates and HDR.

I have ALAC files of music and when I play them directly from the finder they sound amazing but If I double click them it opens with the music app and they sound quieter. Is there a way to "fix" this?
