I have this jacket I inherited from my late uncle. Unfortunately I ripped the back.

I can't get the back to lie flat in order to patch it. How can I fix this?

Well, a sashiko inspired mend anyway. Couldn't figure out how to "weave" the stitches without accidentally sewing the two sides of the leg together 😅
