Length of Hospital Stay

I’m in Australia (Sydney) and have been diagnosed by two different surgeons as needing a reverse shoulder replacement on my non-dominant arm. I have quotes from them both and they differ by around $10K. Surgeon A envisages sending me home the day after surgery, all being well. Obviously there is the option for extra days if needed, but surgeon B is budgeting for four days in hospital as normal.

I’m struggling to understand the disparity. How long have people here been in hospital for this surgery?

Bathroom Exhaust Fan Ideas

I want to fit an exhaust fan to my bathroom and the cavity above the (false) ceiling has no vents and the external wall is common property (and very thick). The only solution I can see is a window-mounted fan, mounted on a sheet of acrylic, with the window open and with the cable running along the window frame and maybe through an adhesive conduit or similar over to the existing power point. I'd need to run the washer and dryer off the other socket.

It looks like I can buy a piece of frosted 6mm acrylic with a hole for the fan, all pre-cut, for around a $100 plus delivery (I'm in Sydney). For more money I could get 6mm pearl polycarbonate but it won't admit as much light as the frosted acrylic. I'm looking at this fan.

I need to find a way to fully secure the plastic sheet in the window opening. If anyone has ideas about that, or can see any problems or a better way to do this, please feel free.

No wifi made to sound temporary

I’ve taken two BA flights and my partner a third, spread over a couple of months, and before each flight we’ve received an email containing:

“We wanted to let you know that our engineers have informed us that the onboard Wi Fi on this aircraft may not be available for your flight. This is due to an intermittent issue with the current connectivity equipment, which can sometimes prevent the system from maintaining a reliable signal throughout the journey. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, especially if you were hoping to work or stay connected while travelling.”

This is, at least, a semi-permanent situation that the email attempts to present as something temporary. I feel lied to. Is it just me?

I'm booked to fly SYD to LHR on 18th May, with return in mid-June. My confirmation shows the correct flight dates and times but when I look at my booking on the BA website, both of the departure dates are one day late, yet the arrival dates (and flight durations) are correct. So my flight from Sydney on 18th is showing as departing at 14:35 Sydney time on 19th and arriving at 05:35 London time also on the 19th—which is 14:35 Sydney time!

I've checked this few times in the last couple of days and it remains the same. Is this just me? Is anyone else seeing this?
