Why I don't think blasting high doses of MT-1 makes sense
See so many people taking 1mg or more a day thinking it’s going to make them dark overnight, but I really don't think it works like that. Looking at how MT-1 actually works in the body, taking huge doses just seems like a waste.
Here’s how I see it:
- Your receptors fill up fast: Your skin cells can only take in so much signal at once. Once those receptors are full, taking extra peptide won't make you any darker, your body just discards the rest.
- Skin can only produce so fast: MT-1 triggers the enzyme that builds pigment, but that enzyme has a natural speed limit. You can't force your cells to build color faster just by dumping more into your system.
- Skin turnover takes time anyway: It takes about 10 to 14 days for new pigment in the deeper skin layers to actually show up on the surface. Blasting high doses won't speed up how fast your skin renews itself.
- Higher doses just mean more dark spots: Taking way too much doesn't give you a smoother tan faster—it usually just increases the chance of random dark spots, darker moles, or uneven patches.
IMO, taking a small daily dose around 250mcg consistently gets you to the exact same place as megadosing, without wasting product or risking weird side effects.
