Splitting earnings from book

This will be my second published book.

The first one was published by an editor and got me some interviews on the radio, TV, etc. I think this background is what will allow me to publish this second book.

This second book is an essay about my (38F) friend's (70M) profession, which will explain my story and his during the 2 years I've been working with him. I would say 70% of the book is based on things he has explained to me while we were working. He knew I was recording him for this book. It took him around 20 hours of sharing information with me.

The thing is that, to give all that information some kind of sense, I've had to interview more people, study the topic, visit another country to understand the context of this profession, verify all the data he has given (which is sometimes not accurate)..., and then there's the work of defining the storyline, creating all the literary characters, and writing his raw, chaotic message appealingly. I think it will take me 1-2 years of work and approx 600€ in expenses (trips, proofreading).

We won't be paid much, but my friend is expecting to divide the earnings by 50% each.

I think he doesn't understand all the work that goes into creating a story and publishing a book. He also thinks I can write this book because of him (which is not exactly true; I could choose another main character).

What do you think would be a fair division?

I'm writing a book 70% based on a friend I interviewed

What do you think would be a fair division? I don't want to be in bad terms with him or make him feel not appreciated.

One option is to tell him to go 50-50 on publishing earnings (which won't be much), and make my writing job paid by writing grants.

My (31F) partner (32M) doesn't want to travel

We (31F and 32M) met in his country (USA) when we were both studying and dated for four months. Then I moved back to my home country for family and work issues. We are in exploration mode of the relationship still, but could potentially close the gap in 2 years approx.

After I left, he traveled to visit me a couple months later and stayed for two weeks.

Then two months later I went to see him for a month, that was last June.

The next time I can go visit him is in February, when I can stay again for a month and then we will travel together for two months. But meanwhile, he refused not only to visit me again but to travel together to a third country, even though he is doing small trips inside his country (3-7 days).

His reasoning is that he just moved to a new place and wants to meet new friends in the area and focus on developing a new career.

We are in an open relationship, so if he met someone compatible with our relationship it would also be ok.

But I'm feeling very confused and hurt by his refusal to travel. Six months feels like a long time and, mostly, I just don't understand. Besides that, he is loving and communicative, he calls me every day and is affirmative of our relationship.

But I can't shake off the feeling that he doesn't really love me or prioritizes me. I know this is something to just talk with him, and we have many times, but any time I mention that he completely denies not loving me.

How can I understand his posture?
