Im so tired of this meme getting regurgitated online by crocheters at every turn.

That's all.

For context, it's annoying that people bring this up as if to imply that knitting is less skilled because it can be replicated by machine. It is a cool fun fact but just because something can be done by a machine does not mean it is easier to do by hand than crochet. And for the record I do both so this gripe isn't that my feelings are hurt because I can't crochet lol.

Im getting really tired of the whiney, borderline entitled attitude from people who made the choice to monetize their hobby. Sure price your pieces however much you think they're worth, I do think artists deserve a fair wage of course, but you are not entitled to a sale just because you want to live off of your art. "My pieces are literally perfect but nobody wants them because the people only have a taste for temu garbage 😒" oh my god shut up. People are literally struggling to buy groceries rn and pay their bills because the economy is in the shitter and everything is getting so expensive. People want nice things but they can't afford it!

So sure be disappointed that you aren't making sales but be realistic about the state of the economy and the chances that you will be raking in dough off of non-necessity items and don't take it out on other working class folks who are struggling too much to justify spending so much money on a single luxury item.

I keep seeing people say things regarding the upcoming oil shock like "Americans have no way to prepare for what is coming downstream" and "what is coming will make the great depression look like child's play" is there any truth to that about our economic situation?
