Being someone who has used YNAB for the last 6 years and currently migrating/adjusting to ZS, using the tags has been so great! Originally in the category group I would have a main category holding all the funds, then transfer funding to its "sub-categories" as I spent. For example, a Overall Gifts funds to budget money into, then sub-categories for birthdays, weddings, etc. The Tags has essentially allowed me to use those as the sub-categories, making my actual budget a lot cleaner.

I wonder if something like having the ability to budget at the category group level and any expenses in the category pulled from there. Would love to hear from others on how they're using tags or handle more specific sub-categories!
