High Ferritin - Could G6PD deficiency explain it?

37, male. Long-time slightly-elevated ferritin that's gotten a lot worse recently (>700 ng/mL). Workup for the usual suspects has come back clean. I also have G6PD deficiency, so wondering if that's the missing piece.

Ferritin and iron numbers in attached summary table.

What we were able to rule out:
- Hemochromatosis — genetic test came back negative
- Iron overload — serum iron and % saturation are both fine
- Inflammation — CRP was <1 mg/L on the same draw as a ferritin of 750
- Liver disease — full liver panel normal at every draw, abdominal ultrasound normal

My PCP can't seem to make sense of this and referred me to a hepatologist. The earliest appointment I can get is next year, so I was curious if anyone has any ideas.
