I’m playing on the PS5 Pro and bought both Myst games yesterday. I read and saw reviews and was dreading what I would see, but having just played about 15 mins of Myst I’m pleasantly surprised at how it looks. The resolution is certainly low but the image is better than I thought it would be: for someone who played the original back in the day this is a very good experience.

The only issue I have so far is that there doesn’t seem to be an in-game way of quickly taking screenshots to help keep notes. You can press the left options button on the sense controller to enter the PS’s own screenshot/capture mode and it’s functional. Just be aware that if you’re aiming to take a screenshot with text (e.g. in one of the books or documents) you might have to lean far forward toward the text so that it’s legible in the screenshot.

As a comparison, I would say that the resolution is on par with Galaxy’s Edge, which I am also playing at the moment.

I bought a psvr2 on its original release and can remember the cable being very soft and flexible. I had to sell it about a year later but have just bought a new one. The cable now seems different: less flexible and more prone to “kinks”. Has Sony changed the type of cable material that they’re using because it doesn’t seem as good as before?
