Considering a 1987 hardbody
Been checking out this sub for the past couple days as I am eyeing an 87 hardbody for myself. It’s a RWD manual with the SD25 2.5L motor. It’s got a number of dings and dents but that’s to be expected for a nearly 40 year old vehicle.
My main questions are:
• Are these motors/trucks difficult to work on? I know an okay amount about cars but haven’t really attempted to do a ton of my own work.
• Would this be a good vehicle to practice learning how to drive manual with?
• How difficult is it to find parts for these? The seller and I have been in touch and he mentioned that there are a number of places that sell aftermarket parts for them but I haven’t checked too thoroughly yet.
