Need renter-friendly shade options for this “backyard”

I’m looking for some shade to protect against direct sun and against bird poop from the cable lines above us. The 3 areas I’m most interested in covering are the patio set in the corner, the griddle, and the dining table. But this is a rental, and I’m not looking to spend a ton of money on a solution or be too intrusive with installation. Any ideas?

What are the best daily food deals when we gotta eat on a budget?

I’m new to LF. We need to get a comprehensive list going of good food deals nearby, I’m talking BOGO and serious discounts. LF, Silverlake, east Hollywood, echo park, Atwater, all in play

Just to lay out a couple examples (I really need more)
- Baja California tacos: $2 fish tacos on wednesdays
- Be Ù: BOGO free lemongrass popcorn chicken
- sepan chicken: BOGO chicken bowls

What else?

Rate my first-time seasoning job

New Weber slate had to get cleaned and seasoned for the first time. Did like 5 rounds of seasoning. Need tips for what’s supposed to look normal here and how to improve

Are my burners working properly? Weber slate on high setting

New to griddling. Using my Weber slate (that I got in clearance) for the first time, trying to give it its first season and I notice the oil just isn’t smoking after leaving all burners on high. Is it actually fully working? Can’t tell how much flame I should be seeing on high setting.

Got the Weber Slate for 50% off. Baby’s first griddle, taking tips

Any tips for a first time griddler? I literally know nothing about griddling other than this is supposed to be a steal. Particularly interested in how to clean the flat top and maintain it properly.
