Is hair loss super common?

Just to preface…lithium has been fantastic for my depression with basically zero side effects. I have MDD so it’s just to augment my lexapro. It lifted my depression in 10 days. Very happy with that.
However I cant stop over analyzing my hair in fear that I’m going to thin out. My hair is a huge part of my identity, it’s one of my favourite things about me and it’s not particularly thick to begin with so I’m freaking out that I’m going to lose a bunch of it after reading about the common hair loss side effect.
I’m only on 150, and I imagine I probably will go to 300 one day but not much beyond that. But I’m not sure dose matters that much.

Maybe some women on here can calm my fears? Or if you did experience hair loss, maybe you could tell me the signs to watch for? Honestly if I do start to lose a fair bit of hair, I’d rather try a different med. That’s how ridiculously attached I am to my hair 🤦🏼‍♀️

I’m here to make you feel better about your sleep.

Unless you also suffer from chronic insomnia, in which case, I know your pain.

Wish I could say these were the worst nights but every night looks the same for about 10 months straight. It’s a form of torture I wish on no one, be so grateful for your sleep if you’re able to do it.

Thankfully I get just enough broken rem to keep my children and myself alive each day.

Keeping ovaries…perimenopause

Does anyone else feel lied to about their ovary function after hysterectomy?

I had a hysterectomy at 33 because my periods were so heavy. He told me I wouldn’t go through early menopause because I’d still ovulate after. I should have never taken the “easy route”, because it turns out, it’s been the hardest yet.

My life has been falling apart slowly ever since and it took me until now to connect the dots. I’m starting hormone therapy but it’s so much trial and error and doctors just don’t even understand how to treat or test.

I have so much sleep debt it’s insane. I haven’t slept well for years. (Tried every single sleep med). My depression is kicking my butt more than ever. My body hurts all the time. I used to be so fit and lifted weights 4x per week. Now I’m lucky if I make it to the gym once a week. I’ve gained weight. I’m the worst mom to my 3 kids. Worst wife.

I wish I never listened to my gynaecologist who gave me the option to remove my uterus when I didn’t need to. Why do hormones have so much power to completely destroy our lives? Being a woman is ridiculous.
Sorry , thanks for reading my crash out.
