Je suis en chemin pour rejoindre ma copine à Lyon, en 125, et je vais m'arrêter à Grenoble pour la nuit. Est-ce que l'un d'entre vous aurait de quoi m'accueillir sur un canapé pour me reposer quelques heures ce soir ? Je ne suis pas bruyant ou invasif et je me ferais tout petit ! Ça serait trop chouette, merci d'avance :)

Hi everyone,

I recently inherited this Leica M5 black chrome from my grandmother. It originally belonged to my grandfather, who was a professional photographer. I personally know almost nothing about cameras and I don’t really take photos myself, so I’m trying to understand what it might realistically be worth before selling it.

From what I can tell:

• it seems to be in pretty good cosmetic condition overall
• there is some visible wear/scratching on the back
• it has apparently been stored for many years in a dry, dark place
• my grandfather was extremely careful with his equipment
• I have no idea whether it is mechanically functional or not

I’ve attached several photos. Based on the visible condition alone, what do you think would be a fair selling price in today’s market?
