Some recent attempt to compute good Mandelbrot Fractal images of the "Dragon Island" using elevation map / lazy raytracing render.
I need to refine the process and deal with better surface material render.
I love this fractal image I just made. It feels like a whole universe of tiny worlds hidden inside one pattern.
i made some experiment with elevation : A smooth height map turns fractal values into a virtual surface. Lighting and surface normals then create the illusion of 3D depth.
Rendered images are not so bad 😃
Join a mesmerizing journey through the Mandelbrot set, where infinite spirals, delicate filaments, miniature Mandelbrots, and endlessly repeating structures emerge from pure mathematics. Each zoom unveils hidden worlds of breathtaking complexity, vibrant symmetry, and extraordinary fractal beauty—transforming mathematical equations into stunning works of digital art. I love ti explore this set 🤩.

a pseudo organic Fractal render ...
A beautiful colored illustration by Mœbius .
a beautiful Mœbius Black and White illustration
Mistral made my day by sending me the hackathon ticket. I’m packing robot Ross and getting my TGV ticket to Paris. Anyone going? Ping me and Robot Ross, maybe we can work together.
Psychedelic fractal animation ; the color palette fit perfectly 🤩
at deep zoom level and high iterations we can see such mathematical beauties 🤩
