Jin Woo and Jeong Eun

Jin Woo and Jeong Eun seem like the only actual and real couple that is potentially going to come out of this show.

Hyuk Joon is just a mess so whoever he goes with in the end is not going to last or be an actual couple. Han Ju, Hyeun Seo, and Su Ji are included in this as their main focus is Hyuk Joon.

The Tae Hoon and Soo Hyun couple is probably not going to work as Tae Hoon doesn't seem interested.

Jung Yun is probably not going to get with su ji, and even if he does, I do not see them working out.

Then the rest are likely not going to get with anyone.

What do other people think on the couples right now?

"Artworks - The Writing of Sylvia Plath" new BBC Sounds series thoughts

Only the first episode (out of 3) is out right now and I listened to the first episode. I thought it was alright to be honest, it had a lot of different people giving their views and opinions on Sylvia Plath. This episode focused on her motherhood mainly and explored quite a lot of aspects of her in general as well. I am interested to see what the next episodes are like, as I feel like they will be quite interesting and perhaps better than this episode. I would recommend giving it a listen if you are interested in Plath.

I also listened to "Archive on 4 - My Sylvia Plath" (also on BBC sounds). I thought this was very good and definitely worth a listen if you are listening to the other series. It explores different people's views on what their Sylvia Plath is and what Sylvia Plath is to them. It has on it someone who personally knew Sylvia Plath, and she shares her real life experiences interacting with Plath, which is very interesting.

Need urgent help with family issues (I have mental health issues/BPD/OCD)

It seems to have reached a meltdown in regards to me and my parents recently. I have trouble communicating due to mental health issues, BPD and OCD, and there have been lots of problems coming due to it being hard for me to communicate sometimes. It has reached the point where because I struggle to communicate, they make lots of wrong and bad assumptions about me. Like I am deliberately ignoring them or things like that and then they get angry with me and storm off.

It has reached the point where I cannot talk to them about their wrong assumptions and for them getting angry at me as otherwise that always leads to an argument and then they storm off again. At this point it is like I cannot talk and explain myself as otherwise it is bound to lead to an argument and so I just am forced to be silent when with them, rather than talking about the issues. It's like they assume too much and get angry without knowing what is really going on. They are blaming me for causing them stress and it is on me that they feel the way they are feeling.

Like today I was busy doing something to show my parents, which meant I was focused on that thing. They then storm off angry as they say I am ignoring them. Then they come back in and I try to talk to them and say "you shouldn't get angry and make assumptions without knowing". They then say "I am not a mind reader" and get angry and storm off again, and we haven't spoken since.

I just need advice on what to do and even if you think I am in the wrong to tell me what you honestly think. Thank you for reading.

Jae Seo at the theme park made me so happy

It's time for a wholesome post seeming as everyone is just hating on hyuk Joon right now lol. I loved that Jae Seo scene at the theme park so much. The way that you can tell that he has been so busy with studying and work, and then the theme park was like the fun he has been needing for a very long time. He looked so happy and was having so much fun at the theme park, even despite having no dating success on the show, and that made me so happy watching it.

It felt like he enjoyed himself so much and it felt like it gave him a youthful experience which he has never had before. He said it was his first time taking photos in that kind of photo booth, and was so happy talking about it that it honestly made me so emotional. I think that as well as dating, he hasn't had those experiences that most people have in their youth, so seeing him do that youthful theme park experience was so great to watch. I think the fact he was in school uniform as well probably really brought him back, and enhanced the experience for him as well. It was like he didn't do it when he was actually in school uniform, but he finally got to do it now in school uniform.

I think it's a common thing that eternal singles also miss out on experiences usually done in youth, so it's great to see those kinds of experiences on this show as well.

I like him so much and I think he is the person who is getting the most out of this show, even though he isn't getting with anyone romantically.

Side Note: whoever voted in the poll for Jae Seo to "Eat food very quickly" in the next episodes got it right lol. No flies unfortunately in these episodes ahaha.

What is Jae Seo most likely to do next?

This is just for fun lol.

We will see if the majority got it right when next episodes come out. We will count "next" as happens earliest in the next episodes.

Would like to hear what other people think he is going to do next as well lol.

Han Ju is being represented as an alcoholic

I don't really like the fact that they keep focusing on Han Ju's drinking all the time as if it is like her only personality trait or something. Like it is fine to show her drinking and it is quite funny to watch, but like can they show her doing other things as well lol.

When they are all in a group together for example, the only time they cut to her saying something is when she is talking about drinking. Like I want to see other parts of her as I am sure there are lots of other parts they haven't really explored. Also, they keep putting her on dates with alcohol which isn't helping her at all lol.

Honestly this portrayal makes me think she should be in AA and not BLTS.

Edit: I am not blaming the show for representing her this way as she does seem to drink often. I never said "Why is she being represented this way", I stated this is how she IS represented on the show and this is the way she IS on the show. My main complaint is that I wish they would focus less on alcohol and show other parts of her. Also, I don't like the focus on alcohol with her even if she is drinking often, due to stigma and not showing multiple different parts of her. The focus on it leaves you with the only idea of her being that she is a heavy drinker, and not knowing much else really, which I don't think is fair on her.

The Jae Seo scene is so emotional (and episode 6 talk)

He has really been living his life based on what other people tell him is good and right. He has almost been living a lie, which is what I think makes him feel so emotional here. I think this highlights the amount of importance and pressure that is put on work in Korean culture perfectly. I think this kind of person is the type of person who needs this show for them to grow and change at the very least. When he wasn't picked, I think that this showcases something that happens to a lot of eternal singles, as this rejection is common among eternal singles. I think it highlights what it is really like to be an eternal single at the very worst parts of being one. This feeling of being left out and rejected, is a common reason that eternal singles stay eternal singles. I think that even though he is obviously not going to end up with anyone, that he has been very important to showcase a very true eternal single experience.

In terms of episode 6, I think his intentions should be considered in regards to what he said. He clearly did not intend harm, and being the analytical person that he is, it is a common way of thinking for people like him to give someone facts and information, no matter what they are. I understand that it did harm, and I am not denying that, but I think where it came from needs to be considered. I think that anybody that is completely turning on him because of this is wrong, especially after seeing how he is in episode 5. I feel like his entire character should not be judged on this single comment and moment, as that is obviously not a fair representation of him as a whole.

Maybe people will not agree with any of this, but I thought I would get a discussion going at the very least lol.

Biggest problem still not fixed

The mentoring needs to continue once the show actually starts, instead of just 6 weeks before.

It seems so far that they have not changed it so that they keep getting mentoring once the show has started and is going on. They would benefit so much from realtime feedback and would help them act better while they are still in the show and have a chance still.

I think this mentoring should be done by trained professionals assigned to them but at the very least by the hosts. It could even be a big part of the show where they show them struggling and then growing by taking on the realtime feedback.

What do other people think about this?
