Has anyone experienced anxiety, depression, or other mental health changes while taking cephalexin? I’m currently on day 4 of a 7-day course (500 mg, 3 times a day) and I’ve noticed a significant decline in my mental health. This is the only new medication I’ve started recently, so it’s the only thing that has changed. I called my provider hoping for some reassurance, but she told me it wasn’t the medication and that it must be something going on in my personal life. While I have had anxiety in the past, it’s been well-controlled for quite a while. Has anyone else experienced something similar? If so, did it improve once you finished the antibiotic? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.
