Local Cat Rescue group - Pasadena area - Urgent Help Needed
My parents live in Pasadena, and I’m posting from out of state. We’re looking for advice on a cat neglect situation across the street from their home.
My mom is very concerned for the safety and well-being of the cats. The house has multiple outdoor cats that are not being fed or cared for - the animals look skinny and unwell. The cats are not spayed or neutered, so they continue to have kittens. My mom recently found a dead kitten in their front yard, and our neighbors are increasingly concerned that this has become a neglect or hoarding situation.
I know Pasadena Animal Shelter is a resource that works with the city, but my understanding is they’re very overwhelmed. Does the city (of Pasadena) need to be involved to remove them? Does anyone know of a local rescue or advocacy group that works with them or helps with situations like this? We’d really appreciate any leads to help these cats. Thank you.
