Has anyone successfully recovered from BC induced hair loss and hirsutism by switching birth control?

Has anyone successfully recovered from BC induced hair loss and hirsutism by switching birth control?

Or are these effects now permanent?

Feeling sad and kind doomed.

I moved to Australia where my regular medication (Norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol) was not available.

The GP said that Levlen ED (Levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol) sky rocketed.

My hair was not great before and I had some hirsutism on my neck(like 1 hair), but it has sky rocketed these past few years.

I recently learned about progestins and high androgenic effects, and that Levonorgestrel has one of the highest indexes.

I’m wanting to try and switch to either:

-Diane-35 (Cyproterone acetate ethinylestradiol)

-Desogestrel ethinyl estradiol

(Unfortunately Yaz/drospirenone makes me faint, get hives and heart palpitations )

Health tests I’ve done :

- hormone/blood test levels all normal for being on BC.
-PCOS tests via internal/external ultrasound and I had no characteristics.

-positive effects from Nizoral Shampoo (mild)

Weirdly I also noticed that nizoral shampoo helped my hair thinning/hair shed to a degree and that it is a mild anti androgen and anti-DHT
So even though my androgen in blood is not high, I think my body may be hyper sensitive to it.

I’m a healthy weight, take care of myself.

Can left side Pelvic Congestion Syndrome cause pain on the right?

I’ve not really had pain on my left side, but have had a lot on my right side pain near my pelvis area and up to my side near my kidney. The right side pain started on and off around puberty (am 27 now).

Long story short - had a slew of scans that the doctor all reported as “normal” and told to take ibuprofen.

I read my report after leaving and my ultrasound report says:

“Minimal Prominence of left adnexal veins suggests pelvic venous congestion”

Can something like this cause pain on my right side somehow?

Could this mean I have Pelvic Congestion Syndrome?

Other random issues I’ve had:

-extremely painful, long periods
-fainting upon standing
- leg/ankle swelling
-leg pain
-livedo reticularis
-growing prominence of veins on hips, legs , chest/shoulder and feet
- near fainting when raising things above my head
- raynauds syndrome
- Surgeon suspected hyper mobility disorder
- gallbladder removal
- 1 x kidney stone
- diarrhea
- I pee a lot
-hirsutism

The told me to get an MRI which was normal, a bunch of blood tests and internal/external ultrasound.

Scans all normal, bloods/hormones all normal except for high MCV and “mild macrocytosis” (which I also don’t know what that means, they told me to change nothing)

Is this the correct way to asses a potential threat? (Apartment Building Manager Dispute)

- 5pm-
arrived home, noticed strong burning plastic smell in the hallways in our apartment floor. No alarms going off, no visible smoke.

-7pm-
Came back from dinner, smell in hall had intensified significantly. Made me cough and my lungs hurt a bit. Still no alarms. Smelled a bit metallic almost? Eyes a bit irritated. Still fine inside apartment doors

- reported to building manager

- Manager says:
because no fire alarm went off and no switch was tripped he deemed it a non threat.”
No one was sent out to physically assess, no one was called to have a look- he said he’d come by tomorrow.

Is the lack of alarms being triggered enough to conclude there is no risk or active threat?

When I was on call at large scale resorts, I was always trained to assess hazard and ensure safety of guests before deeming it a non-issue or an escalating hazard.

It concerns me a bit that he did nothing - but maybe there is more to it and the lack of alarms is really concrete?

My mind just wonders what would occur in this scenario if alarms in a residents apartment were tampered with and there was an active fire.

It kinda seemed to me like this guy couldn’t be fucked to come out, but then again I have not burned yet so maybe I’m wrong.
