What DK sweater patterns would you recommend for total beginners to knitting sweaters?
I've knitted blankets before but not sweaters. I keep reading mixed reviews of the Flax sweater so not sure where to start now. Thanks in advance!
First time knitting a sweater and the pattern says '22 sts & 30 rounds / 4” in stockinette on larger needle'. I used the 4mm knitting needles (UK size) but I'm getting 17 stitches per 4". I'm worried that if I go down a size to a 3mm knitting needle, I'm going to really struggle with the DK yarn especially as the pattern also has a part where I would need to go down a further half size too.
Generally feeling really upset and dispirited as a first time sweater knitter. I know gauge is hard but I didn't expect to be so off. Any help would be massively appreciated.
