Switching flight styles should be instant

I legit can't think of any good reason why toggling between styles should take several seconds. The only concrete thing I can imagine is that having it take so long covers up some weird technical optimisation wherein say going into skyriding sets the game client to load distant assets faster or something. As an intentional design decision though? Ass. Absolute ass. I challenge anyone to convince me otherwise.
