Yet another entitled long term Langford resident
Seems lightning struck twice out in the Happy Valley area with yet another illegal build, and the logistics here are crazy to me. So first crack at subdivision doesn't fly because they don't have access to city sewer, so they somehow manage to convince approval to dig up to the existing main and upsize an existing sewer service off Blakeon (based on street view, I'd say the applicant family owned said property seeing that they are the listing agent on it for sale in street view), get an easement through a spit on your neighbour side yard lot, and connect to another illegal home built without permit. Now they will justify they should be able to subdivide since they have sewer to the property? This entitlement is mind blowing to me and this to me will be a serious test on how council navigates this. I would be throwing the book at them to make a point as this deception has already crossed their desk before and I suspect that situation got off fairly light. For those of us busting our ass doing things through proper channels and proper permits, it is sure a kick in the teeth!
