Coilover update

I swear to god I will never touch suspension again in my life 😭😭 Ima jus stick to engine work everything was so rusty n every time I made progress rust or space would set me back 5 steps. When I finished I had a grinding noise but it was just my brake shield bent against my rotor.

The coilovers I got were silvers neomaxes, super low lit on swift springs. I think I’m lowered 2.25 inches but I’m just guessing, they ride amazing tho my only complaint is the end links clunk over small bumps, really believe that’s just user error tho. Thank you to everyone who gave suggestions and advice yall steered me into this direction w my gti and honestly couldn’t have got this car this far without yall help inna forum 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Noise after coilover install

Has anyone ran into a noise similar to this after an install? I believe it’s coming from the left front side, I hear it when driving and especially when turning the steering wheel. I’m gonna lift it up tmrw and see if I missed anything but I’m positive I torqued everything down. The coilovers are silvers neomaxes and it came with adjustable end links as well

Help with sway bar end links

I’m doin my very first coilover install and I got one strut seated but I noticed that even with the adjustable end link set to its longest length as u can see it in the second pic, the sway bar hole sits below the link about an inch to inch and a half. The sway bar is also very close to the control arm now. I had removed the control arm to replace bushings and replaced the ball joint with white line ones. How do I get the end link to the sway bar without forcing it?
Rn as is I have it sitting like it is in the first pic I just didn’t have the end link in at that time, but I jacked the steering knuckle a bit to raise the control arm and it still wasn’t enough to make it reach the end link

Any thoughts?

I’ve been tryna take it to a shop but the shop is closed whenever I have time so I’m stuck figuring it out. I can’t tell if this sound is the bearings or just brakes. I also found that my tie rods and stabilizer links are deff cooked but I alr know that’s what’s causing my clunks. I can hear the rotating noise I hear while driving in this rear wheel but can’t tell what’s exactly causing it

Is this a bad wheel bearing?

I’ve had this noise lately that sounds like helicopter rotors or sum. It’s only when I’m going above 50mph mainly, and when it started it was almost exclusively when I was cornering right. Now I hear it from both sides but mainly when I turn right it sounds horrible.

I put the car in neutral and jerked it right a few times and I would hear it too. Anybody have experience w this sound before? When it comes to suspension I can’t diagnose shii

Suspension talk 😔🤞🏽

My ride quality is progressively getting worst so I’m going to upgrade my setup to coils. I’m gonna be purchasing silver neomax super lows and wanted to know what other suspension parts I should get while I’m at it, which parts I should get stock or aftermarket, which I can cheap out etc. it would be helpful, the body of the car got 205,000, idk what’s been replaced and I hear a rumbling droning sound when turning right at highway speeds. I rather just refresh everything I need to at the same time I put the coils in. Any advice is welcome 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Arm intercooler install

Wsg guys, if u remember my intercooler post the other week I ended up getting an Arm competition series intercooler. Today I got it mocked up on the front support and have the whole support loosened so I can continue to get back to work tmrw. Anybody who’s installed it before have any insight or advice about the next steps? Especially with the horn relocation and making sure I get the piping right. Also I’m removing the oem intercooler but don’t have an oem delete kit. Any insight would be helpful thank u

What intercooler should I go with

Im about to go stage 2 and at the same time im building an extra motor for a k04 or bigger turbo and want to get an intercooler that’ll perform well for both stage 2 and big turbo, like that I dont have to buy another one again. im stuck between the arm intercooler or just getting a TR8C and doing the fab work. One one hand I rather get the TR8C cuz it seems to perform better but the arm installs easier. Which is better

Are my shocks cooked ?

Are these shocks done? I noticed one day the driver rear I could see the metal from the rod. The other side isn’t the same . If u do have to replace it any recommendations on what brand and tools for the job ?

What to do next about my dent

Feel like I’m always posting on this😂. Yall clowned me for my dent so i went n got that done w sum pdr, first pic is before and second pic is what it currently looks like now.

I need some insight on what to do next to get it looking better tho, the pdr guy I went to explained to me that the owner before me tried to fix the dent with bondo and filler (dent side paint is reading at like 11 mil thickness, other side is 5-6). He told me my only option now that he pulled majority of it is to go to a body shop and have them fill the rest, or I can go pdr route w him but I run the risk of the bondo breaking off. Anybody have experience with shii like this what should my next steps be?

Hoping someone can give me insight on this rq while I go buy sum food. I installed new injectors and a manifold and swapped over everything. I installed the injectors with the install tool correctly, and tightened the lines to the fuel rail so they shouldn’t be leaking. Im able to start the car , and drive but when I try to accelerate it sputters, when I parked it there was a small pool of fuel on the floor. It’s leaking where the fuel rail slips onto the top o ring of the injector. Specially cylinder 2 and 3. Anyone have any insight to what I could’ve missed ?
