What wireless setup do you use?

I’m a singer-guitarist, I usually play solo, mostly nicer joints (wineries, country clubs), and I like doing crowd work. So I idea of a wireless rig sounds nice to me.

Should I spend the cash to get a top quality one? What do you use? I have friends who have used cheapo’s and swear by them even in theatres, but I wasn’t sure with all the streaming if that’s an instant danger.

Thank you!

Upgrade suggestion for solo singer/guitarist

Hi everyone,

I’m a full time solo singer guitarist and for the past 4 years I’ve been getting by using one JBL Eon One Mk2, but I’m starting to consistently play spaces that are a bit too big or too crowded for one speaker.

I bought the Eon One initially for the battery powered aspect, and though I’ve rarely used it I still like the idea of having it just in case. But there are a lot more players in the game with batteries. I also like how column arrays throw sound so I’m not deafening people near me at bars but can play out to the crowd in the back. I get complimented often on not overplaying spaces, and I want to keep it that way.

My question is: do I just get another JBL or do I keep that as my small rig and get something better for a larger setup? I was checking out Mackie’s Thump Go Series with the battery powered subs. And that seems like it could be a could setup with two speakers and subs. But I’m open to all suggestions.

Thank you!
