I am wondering how people related to the portrayals of Jewishness, culture, family dynamics found in the wider media world of social media skits, TV shows, Movies. Primarily focused on NA here.

I am a product of a parent who immigrated from Israel and who grew up mainly in the Sephardic tradition and my other parent, like many was a child of a holocaust survivor. So they grew up in a more Ashkenazi/eastern European cultural norm of Judaism.

I didn't learn Hebrew growing up (for a different post, but a not an uncommon situation) but we did celebrate holidays and my parents did drag us to shul and I was called to the Torah. Most of our family/holiday gatherings were on my askhenazi side as they were the ones who were closest! We did have a community where I grew up but as a family I don't think we

So all of this context just to say.... It is hard for me to fully relate to the versions of Judaism we see in the movies (think.. Marty Supreme, Long Story Short) or even book written in something like Mordecai Richler's cannon. Yes, there were moments of Judaism in pop culture TV growing up (a Chanukkiah here, or lighting of the shabbat candles there), but nothign felt like my experience.

How do others related to the portrayals of Judaism in their media landscape?

I am looking to find out if any other burr sets fit into the Ceado e5sd like the SSP HU burrs or another maybe more multimodal burr set?

How do the opalglide burrs stand up in terms of light roast or medium roast coffees… how about more fully developed darker roasts?

How is switching between burrs with this? How is cleaning it?

Is there anyone on here who still owns one?

Looking to get a flat 64mm grinder mainly for my espresso set up (currently have a cafelat robot) and I am wanting to know a few things. Not looking at the allground sense, just the allground.

1. Can it house other burrs? I’d be interested in getting a unimodal burr set to go along with the stock burrs.

2. Has anyone tried it as a single dose unit and Would the bellows from the ProBrew version fit?

3.did you ever worry about it being touch screen only?

4. The other grinder I am considering is the Mazzer Philos. It would be twice as expensive and would likely get both burrs for that… is it worth twice the cash?

5. Am I missing anything here I should consider?

6. People who do own one… are you happy and wanting to stick with it?

7. I’d likely keep my current niche zero and have the opportunity to brew with conical and flat.

Is there a subreddit for people who like things, specifically… for instance while I might like coffee, really my preferred way of enjoying it is espresso and would probably be ok with never having diner or drip or aeropress or any other brew method. I might like rock music but really I was/am pretty obsessed with Radiohead. And I probably also not like them in a specific way that won’t translate or allow me to really feel connected to other fans.. not snobbery, but a specific relationship with a specific thing.

Yes I could try to find the subreddit specifically for the specific interest but I mean to find a group of people who have this similarity.. mostly to maybe help figure out how to hone in on other potential loves… and maybe learning about how others handle it.. i think you have to cope with something g like this but i want to also celebrate people who just have a particular relationship with a specific thing.
