I had surgery 4 weeks ago and was away recovering for 2 weeks and since I’ve been home he’s been nearby, his favorite place to nap is on me somehow. But occasionally he will also watch from afar.

Just got home from 2 weeks away for surgery
I had hip surgery on 5/29 4.5 hours from home. I stayed closer to the hospital for ease of the follow up appointment, which was yesterday. I would say that someone missed me while I was gone. He’s been mostly on my lap the whole time I’ve been home (~15 hours)
