A heart age calculator that provides detailed breakdown

It uses American Heart Association's model and provides your estimated heart age based on your cholesterol and blood pressure numbers. It even provides a breakdown of which factors are contributing to your heart age.

Baffled by no appointment dates! What's happening?

Hi all,

I am applying for O1 visa at Mumbai VAC. A week earlier, I had paid my fees and saw that there were a plenty of appointment dates available in June.

Now, I don't see any appointment dates at all. How is it possible? Have you experienced something similar?

Any advice?

If CCTA can detect plaque early, why isn’t it used more preventively?

I’m genuinely curious because I’m considering it. I’ve heard Peter Attia mention several times that he uses CT angiograms for all of his patients because it can detect plaque early. And now companies like veevo health seem to offer it directly to consumers.

If CCTA is so useful in finding the hidden risk early, why isn’t it used more commonly for preventive screening?

A randomized study 500,000 people found that Lp(a) is around 6x more atherogenic (plaque-causing) than LDL-particles. Why is that?

Even CT angiogram (CCTA) studies have shown that Lp(a) remains the independent predictor of coronary artery plaque when calcium score and cholesterol levels look reassuring.

What can people with high Lp(a) levels do to minimize their risk
