Adult Winter Intensives?

I was hoping to attend DUCON in December if spots become available off the waitlist, which happened today, but I really can’t take the two days I would need to off work because of what we have scheduled. Does anyone know of any similar winter intensives happening between December 19-January 3? I can be a little more flexible on January end dates. I want to be dancing all day, which was a big draw to DUCON. I am on the east coast United Staes but willing to travel.

Anyone else use The Barbell Ballerina program and disappointed with the new app?

For context for those who don’t know, the barbell ballerina is a gym training program for dancers made by a dancer, you can find her on instagram. Late last year she rebuilt and relaunched her training app. Version 1 was purely a training platform, with excellent workout tracking capabilities. Version 2 that was launched last year was really just a video library so tracking capabilities were lost meaning we had to log on our own (I used my notes app) but workouts were still easily accessible but it also allowed for more bonus content around nutrition, recovery, and mindset practices as well as a community feature.

Version 3 has now been launched less than a year after V2, and from what it was promoted as it seemed like it would be a a blend of the two versions. Customized programming was also highly promoted.

I am extremely underwhelmed. I have been a subscriber since V1 and this new V3was hyped up so much for so long and is the least intuitive yet. It feels like all the effort was spent on the “customizable programming” aspect (which is just a short quiz that gives you a suggested program from the available options) but not the actual functionality of the app for preparing for and executing workouts. You can’t view what exercises are in the workout for the day until you actually get to that day, and there are also no exercise substitutions provided. Another issue is that say I only have 3 days in the week to workout in the gym,all the programs have 5 days and it will choose for me which 3 days I have access to to complete. If I want an upper/lower/core split I can’t just make that happen, the app decides for me that I get lower/core/plyometrics and I have to go into my settings and say I want 4 days of workouts to have access to the upper body day.

In short I feel this new version is not what it has been hyped up to be, almost like a downgrade even.
