I made an offer on a pair of shorts from this seller. The seller accepted the offer within a couple minutes. I got the notification, then went to my cart and bought it right away. The Item was originally on sale for $21 and i offered her $16. Went to check for an update only to see that the order was cancelled and I had been refunded. She claims she didn’t mean to accept the offer, and assumed that I bought it even after seeing her message. You can clearly see on depop if someone has read your message, I hadn’t. Instead of offering me a discount or relisting the shorts so I could rebuy she called me a goofball and said it was “on me” for buying it anyways. thought my response was appropriate and I left a bad review. I know things happen sometimes, but I thought the way she handled it was super unprofessional and rude. Didn’t even apologize for the mistake or anything just blamed me. Anyways bought the shorts from another seller.
EDIT: apparently there are no read receipts on depop, my bad. I messaged her through the screen after you buy that says message seller, it doesn’t bring u back to the chat. Still she could’ve apologized or handled it differently instead of assuming I bought it blatantly after reading her message. There is some text missing from these images. After I bought I replied “thank you🤩” through the process described above. She replied and said “ i’m js gonna refund u goofball. refunded💓”. then my response can be seen. also these shorts retail for $15
