Tweeter delete
So im doing some upgrades to my xterra. It came with an aftermarket head unit but it fried not too long after getting it and i think i know why. Ive since replaced it with a kenwood and just recently installed a subwoofer. Further research said that the oem speakers are 2 ohm while the head unit i got is rated for 4 ohm speakers (in general i think that is preferred.) So the other day i ordered some 3 way speakers. If i remember right that means the tweeters are built into the speakers. (I know rhis is getting technical. Anyway) it says i should remove or at least disconnect the old tweeters and zip tie the plug so its not rattling around. So im gonna do that once i get the right tool (super tight under the windshield bottom for a 1/4 inch ratchet) anyway. Any idea what i could do with that tweeter space? Anyone know where i couls get some blank plates? Should i just fill it with foam? I hear people put gps/phone mounts or gauges of some kind there.
