Grad student looking for July roommate - time sensitive 🥲
Hi everyone, I need a bit of help this morning. I found an apartment I toured that I really like that is 1200sqft, 2bd/2ba, with a nice interior, big windows and good sized bedrooms, off street parking, laundry, and it's only 1300/mo plus utilities, so ending up around 750 per person. It's 1.5mi from SU on E. Genesee and on the shuttle lines or like a 20min walk. I'm looking for a roommate (either grad student or someone working nearby) who'd sign on with me, as the girl i was looking with previously decided it's too far and wants every possible amenity - I'm used to the Boston housing markets so I really just need a place that's solid I can get settled into. But bottom line its a good apartment, I'd like to apply soon, and the realtor has given me the weekend to get back to him. I'm looking to move in early July but would split the remaining rent with someone if they can't move until August.
I'm a 26yo woman and have been renting since before graduating college so I have a lot of commonspace furniture and appliances (couch, coffee table, tv, a nice wooden kitchen table/chairs, stand mixer, blender, microwave, rice cooker, dinnerware, literally anything you could think of) to the extent you'd really just need to get a bed if your budget is tight. I'm transferring to continue my PhD in cell biology and just want a nice space I can come home to relax at. I like to cook and have some house plants, am easy to get along with, and generally pretty quiet.
Please reach out if you're interested or know someone who might be! I'm happy to send the listing, chat about living styles/preferences, or get you in touch with the realtor. This is time sensitive though so keep that in mind!
