sick from my laptop?

I retired my laptop that I had in the very very moldy house and was using my work computer for a while.

I no longer have access to the work computer and now im back on the laptop. i cleaned the outside as best i could. Sometimes when Ive been using it for multiple hours ill start to get symptoms. I've been on full dose welchol for a month and started feeling sick while using the laptop just in the last week. Im not sure if its a herx reaction?

Has anyone reacted to the inside of their laptop before? Its a mac so unfortunately i cant open it myself to clean the inside

Update:
I switched devices (remote working) and I think I feel better……. I’m irritated that I’ve been exposing myself again this whole time 😭😭😭😭 ugh truly a non linear healing process

Improvement post! :)

I wanted to share a recent improvement that’s made me appreciate the progress I’ve made!

Since my first severe long term mold exposure 10 years ago, I’ve dealt with horrible menstrual pain. At my worst I was in bed 2-3 days straight, not eating most of those days due to nausea and pain. I would vomit and spend multiple days passed out, in too much pain to even use my phone or watch something. I would get fevers, alternating chills and sweats, and just completely miss out on life including work and school for multiple days. I’ve missed out on job opportunities, friends birthdays, and so many other things because of it. I’ve had so much anxiety and fear around my period because the pain is so excruciating to endure and I know I’ll have to cancel everything for the next few days

I started welchol 2.5 months ago and I’m almost at full dose. Since then, the pain has eased each month a bit. I’m on day 1 of my period and after a few hours of minor pain and nausea I feel almost normal and pain free!!!! 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲 this is the most normal period I’ve had since I was 21 years old and I’m now 30. I’m so grateful to be here and I hope anyone else dealing with this symptom can find improvement through the protocol 🙏🏼

Binaural beats for longer meditation?

are there any non gateway tapes binaural beats folks listen to to achieve the different focus states? I ask because the tapes are so short and sometimes I want to spend more time in a meditation than the tapes allow. Thank you!!

Passing gallstones from shoemaker?

Has this happened with anyone? I’m not 100% sure it’s gallstones, but I’ve been passing them consistently for a week or so and I don’t know what else it could be. I’m also doing multiple coffee enemas a week and just completed a parasite cleanse, so I’m also passing a lot of parasites. Was wondering if shoemaker binders might be influencing all this parasite detox/gallstone passing?

Is there a free version of the VCS test?

I already used up my one free test on vastest.com… it rubs me the wrong way that a simple test is behind a paywall when folks dealing with this illness are already subjected to enough loss

Is it normal to have symptoms on welchol for a month?

I accidentally started on two pills a day, then increased to four two weeks later. It was honestly fine for the first three weeks — just some fatigue and drowsiness but nothing too crazy. I know this was too much too soon, I read the directions wrong 🥲

Then around week 3 I started having really bad symptoms; migraines, emotional episodes. My histamine sensitivity has also gotten worse. I stopped for a week and then restarted per my doctors advice on welchol water.

For the last two weeks I’ve been taking just one pill a day in water form, but the symptoms have still been pretty intense although improved from before. I just feel super loopy and depressed on most days along with a bunch of other random symptoms that come and go! Is it normal to feel this bad on such a low dose for this long? I’m gonna ask my doctor but I want to see what others’ experiences are. Thanks!!

Johnson’s baby shampoo rinse for MARCoNS?

Has anyone tried this? I’ve had horrible seasonal sinus pressure and migraines since exposure and heard about the Johnson’s baby shampoo trick from the sinusitis subreddit and the CIRS group podcast. Essentially you put a drop of Johnson’s baby shampoo into your netti pot rinse (plus the regular solution) and the surfactants in the shampoo will help break down biofilms in your sinus. It sounds weird but it’s safe! Apparently it’s an old trick that ENTs will even suggest

I just did three rinses with Johnson’s and wow I can totally tell the difference!! I wasn’t feeling particularly stuffy today but I’m breathing much better and a there’s a lot of mucus coming out. Im not sure if it’s just relieving regular congestion or doing anything to marcons itself but I’m hopping this will be a game changer in symptom management and addressing the colonization 🤞just wanted to share this symptom relief strategy with everyone in case you didn’t know!

Has anyone else tried this and had success?

Martial arts gyms for women?

Are there any martial arts gyms in town that center women in any way? For example women’s only classes or majority women membership. I’m most interested in kickboxing/taekwondo, boxing, maybe bjj. I’m not against co-ed but I do prefer an atmosphere that’s majority women and/or queer. Thanks!!

For those who lived in a tent...

How long did you need to do that to heal? and if you were doing shoemaker what stage of the protocol were you on when you were able to stop?

I get symptoms the same time everyday

My symptoms have been really bad this week and start and end at the same time everyday. It starts around 7-10am and ends around 5-6pm.

I get really intense pain that waxes and wanes but doesn’t completely go away until the evening. I am also nauseas with brain fog.

Does anyone know what time might mean in terms of trigger?

Binders causing sinus inflammation?

Just started Welchol 3 weeks ago — I increased the dosage and started getting sinus headaches/flares which I haven’t had in a couple years. It is a symptom that started after mold exposure but I’ve been able to manage it in recent years. Now it’s back and very painful/interrupting my ability to work 🥲 does anyone think this could be from the binder or is there another trigger? I’m currently tenting

I’ve done ~20 apartment tours and they’re all moldy

I’ve been looking since March. They either have visible moisture damage, high moisture in the air/walls, or test 14+ on an ERMI. How are people finding a place to live? Do people have any success stories? at this point I’m even considering just renting somewhere with a big yard and camping but even then I’ll have to cook and use the bathroom indoors

Symptoms while starting CSM/Welchol?

Hello! I’m curious what peoples specific experiences are like when they speak of feeling ill starting off on binders. Is it an increase of your pre existing symptoms? Something different? Thanks!!

Edit: note I’m not asking for health advice

I’m just starting Welchol (with MoldCo — CSM isn’t an option) and I was curious if people has any success stories to share about it! I’m really excited to get more healing going :)

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any mold free housing in the east Bay Area, ideally Oakland? Everywhere I stay and test, even as south as Hayward/Fremont are moldy. I can’t even find an air bnb where I’m not getting reactions.

It feels very drastic to move away from my home and community and quit my job because of this but I don’t know what else to do. My family home in Southern California is safe but the East bay has been my home for my entire adult life and I would be devastated to leave.
